The Biggest Loser is a reality competition in which everyone "loses". Seriously overweight people are challenged to undergo dramatic physical make-overs without any kind of surgery or faddy diets, just sheer sweat and hard work. There is a cash prize but for the winner the real reward is the life-changing (and sometimes life saving) achievement of finally reaching their goal weight.
